LCT has published plenty of articles and hosted seminars at its shows during the last decade about getting into the motorcoach business. One fact stands taller than all the others: Big buses equal big profits.

While operators may disagree on whether to buy new or used coaches, the safer route financially to test the market for the first time leans toward a used one. The mileage potential (1 million miles+) and duration of motorcoaches make the life-cycles of regular chauffeured vehicles look like dog years.

For an operator venturing into the regulation heavy motorcoach sector, these two used 2015 Van Hool C2045 models that carry 56 passengers hit that sweet spot of low miles and reasonable price. The coaches are now available on for $289,000 each at about 130,000 miles.

The seller states the 2WD diesel bus is in excellent condition and comes with TVs and video capability. The bus would be well suited for commuter shuttling and line runs as well as cross country or regional tours, which are all client segments teeming with revenue potential. Financing is available.
