Millions of riders rely on ride-hailing services Uber and Lyft for daily transportation. But according to a Consumer Reports review of data from New York City and the Seattle area, a notable number of ride-hail vehicles registered for Uber and Lyft service, about 1 in 6, carry unaddressed safety defects.

The analysis found vehicles with glaring issues that pose serious risks, such as deadly Takata airbags that could hurt or kill the driver or front-seat passengers. There were unfixed defects involving the potential for vehicles to catch fire or for engines to lose power entirely.

The complete toxic business plan for both uber and lyft is simply incredible. And to see wallstreet take these 2 companies and praise their business model that never has a ROI for the millions wasted. I am reminded of texas 2017 sarah milburn that was paralized when hrr uber toyota sienna ran a red light and ahe was paralized.. only to find herself and her family in a legal battle with ubers responce " we are a tech app, not a transportation company" Or dec 2018 when a british female embassy employee was murdered by her uber driver in lebanon.. he had a long criminal history yet THEY LOOKED THE OTHER WAY.
