QUEENS, N.Y. — Patrick Joseph Farrell, owner of Farrell Limousine Service, died March 17 after a long illness. He was 44.

Farrell was born March 4, 1975, in New York. His family's company was founded in 1968, and he and his father carried on the business' reputation for anticipating and exceeding the needs of those with discriminating tastes in a city that expects excellence, according to the company's website. A signature fleet of dark blue Cadillac sedans with light blue tops branded and identified Farrell's cars on the streets of Manhattan for more than four decades (click here for LCT story).

He is survived by his wife, Heidi (nee Brownyard) and their four children, Michael, Patrick, Brendan, and Collins. He is the son of Ann Farrell (nee Collins) and the late Michael Farrell. He is also survived by his sisters, Marguerite (Sergio), Ursula (Marius), along with his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Bettina and Brendan Brownyard; sister-in-law, Ingrid Brownyard, and niece, Holly Ross.

He was an alumnus of Loyola School in Manhattan and a graduate of Fairfield University. Friends may call at Frank E. Campbell, 1076 Madison Avenue (at E. 81st St.), March 22 from 2-5 pm and 7-9 pm.

Mass of Christian burial at Saint Ignatius Loyola RC Church, 980 Park Avenue, (at E. 84th St.).

    I worked for Farrell’s , Patrick was one of my bosses and this news made me sad. My heart goes out to the family. He was a good person and a good Leader. RIP Patrick.
