LONGMONT, Colo. — Eight Black Transport, the 2017 LCT Operator Of The Year (1-10 vehicles), announced Dec. 29 the acquisition of two prominent Denver-based ground transport companies.

Red Boots Limousine and A Absolute Limousine have become the second and third acquisition Eight Black has made in its short three-year history.

The Red Boots and A Absolute Limousine brands will remain, but the back office, reservations, customer service, and fleet will all be consolidated.

Financial terms of the two acquisitions remain undisclosed, apart from the fact both are all cash transactions and no hard assets were acquired in the overall purchase of both entities. Eight Black has already expanded its existing fleet to cater for the additional volume and will continue to grow the fleet as needed.

Red Boots, owned and operated by Mary Claire Friesema and Ron Chamberlain, built a well-respected Denver based business over the last six years using a fleet of four vehicles.

“Mary Claire and Ron are outstanding operators and wonderful customer service professionals. I always admired their work ethic and dedication to clients. Whenever we farmed work to them, they never let us down. They have always enjoyed what they do and it shows each and every day," said Simon Chen, owner of Eight Black, in a press release.

A Absolute Limousine is owned by Mike McLaughlin. He originally purchased the company in 2010. He also had bought American Heritage Limousines in 2011 and later that year, combined the two entities. A former firefighter/EMT and 911 dispatcher, McLaughlin has been dedicated to client safety and removing the stress from their driven experiences.
