The Arizona Limousine Association hosted its second Annual Casino Night fundraiser on Dec. 1, which doubled as a holiday party for the growing state association.

About 130 people attended the recent Casino Night which was sponsored by many industry partners such as Ford-Lincoln, SoCal Penske Professional Vehicles, Limo Anywhere, DOT Compliance, LMC Group, and FASTTRAK. Guests were able to play Roulette, Blackjack, Poker and Craps as well as enjoying dinner sponsored by Ted Shultz Insurance, an ALA member. The night also included live and silent auctions.

President Jeff Conly reported the group now has 54 members.

The first Casino Night fundraiser was held in the summer of 2017 with the help of Jim Luff, marketing manager of Chosen Payments, an industry event sponsor. Luff serves on the board of ALA and used his experience producing charity events to secure sponsorships and guide the group’s first fundraiser. The first event produced a net income of about $4,600, Conly said, and was attended by 125 guests including some who traveled from Los Angeles, New York, and Miami.

The association has formed a strong working relationship with airport officials at Sky Harbor Phoenix Airport and features a guest speaker at membership meetings to provide education to members. The association is planning a two-day summer educational retreat in 2019 that will be family friendly. Funds raised will go toward producing the retreat and other causes of the association.

“Without the support of the industry, including LCT Magazine, Casino Night would have not been possible”, said Conly, who is also the senior vice-president of operations for Vitesse Worldwide.
