PLEASANTON, Calif. --- In the limousine and bus indusry, the concept of a hand-me-down vehicle can be a good thing. From a positive standpoint, it usually means the seller has to move up to bigger or better vehicles. For the buyer, the sale is an opportunity to enter or upgrade a luxury fleet niche or offer wider choices in service.

That's the case with Black Tie Transportation Worldwide in Pleasanton, which is seeking to sell off three used 2013 Temsa TS-35 40-passenger mid-size single-axle coaches as it just bought three new full-size Volvo 9700 motorcoaches.

"We love our Temsas and still run them, however, our clients are requesting 56 passenger vehicles so we have the need to upgrade," said Black Tie owner and CEO Bill Wheeler Sr., who founded the company in 1986 which serves the San Francisco Bay Area. "This is a great opportunity for someone moving from (cutaway chassis) coaches to the luxury monocoque coaches."

The three coaches, ideal for shuttle contracts and group tours, are now available on Limoforsale.com at just under $200,000 each with about 168,000 miles.

Wheeler reports the buses have been exclusively handled and repaired by his inhouse certified mechanics and detailers who must follow Black Tie's strict maintenance standards.

Among the amenities that would impress groups transportation clients are: Restroom, simulated wood floors, full coach raising front body kneeling system, overhead parcel racks to accommodate additional storage, four-monitor video system to entertain passengers, power outlets, window shades, leather seats, and Alcoa aluminum wheels.
