LAS VEGAS, Nev. — Auto dealer David Bastian finds a way each year to link the theme of the International LCT Show with Ford and Lincoln livery vehicles.

With the Show promoted as the “World of Possibilities,” Bastian’s main product characters feature the five Ford and Lincoln fleet vehicles that can make a better luxury ground transportation business possible: Lincoln Navigator, Lincoln Continental, Lincoln MKT Town Car, Ford Transit, and Ford Expedition.

Bastian, the general sales manager for Towne Livery, a division of Towne Auto in Orchard Park, N.Y., has been selling Ford and Lincoln vehicles to the industry since 1998.

This is the fourth year in a row he has scripted and helped produce an ILCT-Ford-theme video. This time Bastian uses the story line and visual motifs of the 1971 book and 2005 movie "Charlie and The Chocolate Factory" and the 1972 book "Charlie and the Great Glass Elevator," both featuring fictional choclatier Willy Wonka.

Titled “The Livery Factory,” Bastian and his cast mimic the characters from the movie to create a “livery factory” that showcases Ford and Lincoln limousine vehicles that whisk the characters to the Mandalay Bay, site of the Show March 12-14.

“We wanted to do a piece that featured the Ford and Lincoln vehicles and was a feel good piece; something that would promote the show for sure,” said Bastian, who sang and danced for the first time in a ILCT video as the character, “David Livery.”

Two of the starring roles are played by actual operators: Kevin Barwell of Giorgio’s Limousine in Buffalo, who appears as “Mr. Chauffeur,” and Nick Boccio of Buffalo Limousine, who has the role of “Mike TV.”

Rounding out the cast is Marc Cintron, a Towne Auto lot manager, who plays the flouncy, green-haired Oompa Loompa; Steven Yox, a digital/online reputation specialist at Towne who plays a suited factory visitor; Norm Liss as “Normie” who finds the golden ticket to the ILCT Show; Hannah Jordan, who gets into a Ford and turns it blue; and Jim Guzzino, a pick up and delivery service rep at Towne who appears as the "cheer up guy" at the start of the video.

The video was shot, directed, and produced by Peter McGennis of Galora Productions, who worked with Bastian on the previous ILCT videos as well as three LCT Show East videos for 2015-2017.

The two-minute Livery Factory clip was shot Feb. 20 at the historic Ellicott Square Building in downtown Buffalo. “The whole idea is to suspend belief,” Bastian said. “It’s a piece about the world of possibilities. We’re in an alternate reality kind of fantasy scene.”

Towne Livery's exhibit will be at booth #119.
