Limo Patriot Ride Fundraiser To Cap The Big LCT Show

Posted on January 10, 2018

LAS VEGAS, Nev. — The fourth annual Limo Patriot Ride will take place March 15, following the 2018 International LCT Show that week. The 2018 ride will take riders through the Valley of Fire National Park, which is world-renowned for its 40,000 acres of bright red Aztec sandstone outcrops nestled in gray and tan limestone. Riders will experience ancient petrified trees and petroglyphs dating back more than 2,000 years while raising funds for the Semper Fi Fund

The ride is organized by Driving For Change, LLC, a non-profit 501c-3 organization. This means your ride is tax deductible and benefits a great cause! Driving For Change is managed by five well recognized names from the limo industry including Lynda Saitta, president (Momentum Drives); Ron Stein, vice-president (Exclusive Sedan); Michael Callahan, treasurer (Able Limousine); David Eckstein (Valera Global); and Sarah McKee (Chosen Payments).

The 2017 ride was sponsored by limo industry operators, vendors, associations, and magazines. $30,000 was raised, an amount that doubled the earnings of the inaugural run in 2015 to Valley of Fire. Much of the success is attributed to our sponsors.

The success of the 2018 ride will rely on the generosity of industry members. Sponsorships range from $500 to $5000, but donations of any amount are accepted to benefit the Semper Fi Fund. Additionally, volunteers are needed to help with the event. You do not need to ride to be a volunteer.

Semper Fi began in 2003 when military personnel began returning home from Iraqi Freedom. Critically injured and sick soldiers began arriving at Camp Pendleton, near San Diego for treatment. Karen Guenter was working as an RN and her husband was an active duty Marine. Guenter and four of her friends created the Semper Fi Fund as a way to host Welcome Home parties, pay for airfare for family members to come to Camp Pendleton to be with their loved one and provide immediate financial aid without any red tape. Since then, the organization has grown to a national level serving wounded heroes across the country and helping them transition to a quality life after serving our country and maintaining our freedom.
