Ambulance-Turned-Party Bus Now Illegal In Texas

KERANews.org reported the "Slambulance," an ambulance converted into a party bus, is no longer legal after Gov. Greg Abbott signed HB1249 into law. Launched five years ago, the Slambulance is outfitted with a stripper pole, neon interior lights, and full wet bar.

    These back yard conversions are a danger to the public. 69% of them are being made in nevada. The issue at hand is they are very old vehicles that should be scrapped. Am accident with a mack yard made party bus would have serious issues if and when the seats become loose from lack of proper welding seat supports. Vehicles not designed to keep from becoming objects that can injure a passenger
