WOODSTOCK, Georgia --- The Lincoln MKT Town Car stretch limousine may not be a classic sedan type limousine, but thanks to its crossover style, it offers more headroom, luggage space and durability than old-school limos.

A 2014 MKT Town Car stretch manufactured by Executive Coach Builders, now the largest stretch maker in the world, captures all the top-shelf amenities and standards of a modern day limousine. The Ford QVM certified eight-passenger, 120-inch stretch is now available on for $65,000 at 15,000 miles.

The stretch gets top 10 ratings across the board for mechanical, exterior and interior quality. Described by the seller as "pristine," it comes with a power solid divider, dual A/C system, dual alternator, rear climate control, driver controls, champagne, rock and decanter glassware, dimmer controlled lighting package, bar and mood lights, champagne bucket, and insulated ice buckets.

The buckets, decanter and glassware underscore the fact that despite all the extra gadgets now installed on limousines, nothing beats a relaxing, roomy chauffeured ride with drinks in hand.

One of the downsides of the MKT is the storage space. As a whole, the SUV will have no more than 80 cubic feet of storage space. When the cabin if full, available space is less than 20 cubic feet. Some of the SUVs in its class have far more space for storage. While the Eco Boost engine is considered a plus for the SUV, the Lincoln MKT’s base engine option is considered weak compared to competing SUVs. Several of the SUVs in its class have engines that produce at least 330 horsepower and can complete a 0 to 60 test in around 7 seconds. The Lincoln MKT also has below average fuel efficiency compared to others in its class. At the base level, the current fuel efficiency ratings are around 23 mpg when driving on the highway and 15 when driving in the city. Others in its class have slightly better efficiency ratings or can be upgraded to a hybrid. Overall, the Lincoln MKT compares favorably to other SUVs in its class. Its top competing SUVs will be the Acura MDX, the Buick Enclave, and the Volvo XC90. Overall, the MKT is considered to have a more substantial base safety and technology package, but it is base engine option and fuel efficiency are worst.
