Chauffeur Shot In Hollywood Hills

Posted on July 7, 2016

A chauffeur for a private transportation company whose vehicle overturned was wounded by an armed robber who had at first attacked the chauffeur's female passenger June 7 in the Hollywood Hills, police said.

The gunman approached the woman and tried to rob her, but when he realized she had no money, he made the woman call back the chauffeur, she said. When the chauffeur came back, he realized the gunman was trying to rob him and tried to back his vehicle away, and, as he did so, it overturned, she said.

The gunman shot the chauffeur while he was still inside his overturned vehicle, and the gunman fled.
