Kentucky Operator Booked For Muhammad Ali Funeral

Posted on June 8, 2016

Jaco Limousine & Transport has 28 vehicles in its rental fleet, mostly vans and SUVs. But if you want one of the luxury sedans for use June 10, you are too late. The entire fleet has already been rented with nearly all leased to out-of-towners coming in for the funeral of Muhammad Ali.

"Most of them are going to the funeral," owner Todd Roberts said.  "I can't say who I have rented to, but most of them are VIPs who specifically said they are going to the funeral."

Several other providers of limos reported similar brisk activity in advance of the funeral of perhaps the world's most recognizable figure -- Louisville native and icon, boxing legend and humanitarian extraordinaire, Ali.

I was saddened by the news of the death of "the greatest". I recall vividly the two days I had the pleasure of chauffeuring his wife Lonnie and him during a visit to Denver in 2007. Wonderful people.
