NJ Limo Start-Up Gives Back To Its Community

Posted on February 7, 2014

RIVERTON, N.J. — For a new limousine company struggling to get off the ground, giving back to the community is the last thing you would think the owners would have the time or energy to do — but Robert Campolongo sees it differently.

Because of the numerous snow, sleet and rain storms — combined with wind-chills below zero at times this winter —  Campolongo has provided free transportation for residents with serious medical conditions to get to a doctor or hospital free of charge. The company also has provided rides for medical personnel, EMTs and other emergency personnel who need a lift to get to the jobs.

Campolongo and his fiancée launched Affordable Luxury Limousine NJ, based in South Jersey bordering the Delaware River, a little over a year ago. The couple thought it would be a great idea to give back to the community because of its support since the launch.

"The community has supported us and we want to give back,” said Compolongo, who started the company after a job-related injury as a fire equipment apparatus mechanic forced him to give up the job. “We figured we wanted to try something on our own, so we launched the limousine company in a bad economy, which was probably crazy, but business is starting to come along.”
