Electric Vehicle Chauffeur Service Launches in London

Posted on January 14, 2014

LONDON, England — eConncet recently has launched with a fleet of a few Nissan Leaf Teknas, and is partnering with a number of other private hire car companies to ensure availability in the event that all of the company’s electric vehicles are in use.

The Tekna was selected by eConnect Cars due to luxury features such as its leather seating, rear heated seats, onboard charging facilities for fast charging and greater room for passengers compared with the Renault Zoe or the Tesla Model S. The Tekna also features digital auto air conditioning which uses 70% less energy than standard air conditioning and LED lighting. The models used by eConnect Cars will be reviewed as and when new models enter the market.

The company, based in Canary Wharf, is taking telephone bookings, but it expects to roll out web and app based bookings shortly. For the full story, go to www.e2bpulse.com.
