LOS ANGELES — Rich Azzolino, a veteran San Francisco operator and board director of the National Limousine Association, was elected president of the Greater California Livery Association during a board meeting Tuesday in Los Angeles.

Azzolino, who served in 2013 as 1st vice president of the GCLA, succeeds Mark Stewart, an Orange County operator who led the GCLA for the last three years to its highest levels of membership, fund-raising and industry involvement.

Azzolino is an executive at Gateway Limousines Worldwide in Burlingame. He also serves as the first vice president of the National Limousine Association. He was first elected to the NLA board in 2009 as West Region representative and re-elected to a second three-year term in 2012.

Other officers chosen by the GCLA board of directors Tuesday:

  • 1st Vice President: Kevin Illingworth, owner of Classique Limousine Worldwide of Orange and an NLA board director representing the West Region, first elected in 2013.
  • 2nd Vice President: John Raftery, 2nd Vice President, of Executive Limousine & Coach in Ventura.
  • Treasurer: Jack Nissim, operations director of ITS, Los Angeles.
  • Secretary: Anne Daniells, Torrey Pines Transportation, San Diego.

The GCLA’s first meeting of 2014 will he held Tuesday, Feb. 11 in San Francisco. The GCLA is considered the largest and most active industry association outside of the NLA with more than 310 members, as of December 2013.

    CONGRATULATIONS! I was one of the 2013 candidates to receive a Scholarship for my company, Arrive In Style, LLC in Monroe, LA. Mr. Azzolino was my mentor during that week in Las Vegas. I knew I was very fortunate to have him with me that week. THANK YOU Very Much again for all that you've told me, and Congratulations again to a well deserved honor.
