While the numbers are hard to pin down, the reality is drivers don't make much when factoring out overhead costs.
LONDON — Private jet booking service PrivateFly.com this week announced a new strategic partnership with Reliance Worldwide, a chauffeured transportation company based in London that serves global corporate accounts.
This extends Reliance Worldwide’s range of services and allows the company to offer private air charter services to its corporate clients. Reliance already provides worldwide chauffeurs, international parcel deliveries and courier services.
The new jet charter service includes a branded version of PrivateFly’s online pricing platform, allowing Reliance Worldwide’s website users to receive instant pricing for any global trip by private charter. The service compares options from an accredited network of more than 7,000 private aircraft worldwide, ranging from helicopters, turboprops, executive jets to airliners. The service is backed by advice from PrivateFly’s expert, 24-hour operations team.
“We are able to offer their flight booking system to our clients in multiple currencies,” said Reza Choudhury, CEO and founder of Reliance Worldwide. “They bring a unique pricing platform which is transparent and unrivalled in the industry. This new product offering will give flexibility to our global clients, whether they are based out of New York ($), Paris (€) or the UK (£).”
Carol Cork, marketing director of PrivateFly, added: “We have already established relationships with other ground transport providers so we have seen how private jet charter can be a successful fit alongside these services.”
With more than 7000 aircraft registered worldwide, PrivateFly is the only online aggregator for private jet charter in Europe. It combines online efficiency and transparency with offline expertise to offer a full-service VIP charter service to direct customers and partners. The bespoke software has been created in-house specifically to meet the needs of charter customers and operators. In 2010 PrivateFly launched the world's first iPhone application to provide instant private jet pricing on a mobile phone and now offers the equivalent application for the Android platform. Founded in 2008, PrivateFly is based in St Albans, Hertfordshire. In September 2011 it announced successful investment fundraising of £2 million, enabling international expansion plans and further enhancements to its technology platform.
