Conn. Operator Partners With Make-A-Wish

Posted on July 17, 2013

TRUMBULL, Conn. — Make-A-Wish Connecticut President and CEO Mike Burke is very excited about the new partnership with Hy’s Limousine, stating “We are thankful to the team at Hy’s Limousine for partnering with us to make wishes come true for Connecticut kids. Thanks to Hy’s, kids with life-threatening medical conditions will be treated to top-notch limousine services as part of the Make-A-Wish experience. Hy’s has been helping us for many years and it is only fitting that they are now our exclusive limousine partner.”

The Connecticut chapter of Make-A-Wish has granted over 2,200 wishes since its inception in 1986, and fulfilled over 160 wishes last year alone. Make-A-Wish Connecticut has held a long-standing relationship with Hy’s Limousine, working with them to create magical travel experiences for wish recipients to and from the airport, on shopping sprees, and to wish destinations such as meet and greets with celebrities.

Hy’s will serve Make-A-Wish Connecticut for every eligible child whose wish involves travel from one destination to another; local wishes will enable children to “ride in style” while travel wishes will give kids transportation to and from the airport with a touch of class.

Headquartered in Connecticut, Hy’s is a full-service, premier luxury limousine and chauffeured transportation company dedicated to providing first class service with a personal touch. Their devotion to world class service combined with their safety, dependability, and reliability ranks them among the largest, oldest, and most professional limousine services nationwide.

Executive vice president of Hy’s, Matt Levine, says that the company has a relationship with the organization that goes back some 20 years, beginning with donations and then within the last five years working with them on a more consistent basis. Hy’s provided 119 rides for Conn. Make-A-Wish last year, and Levine is proud of the new exclusive partnership, saying, “Anything we can do to help the kids and help the organization we’re all for it.”
