Posted on June 25, 2013

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Carey International, a major chauffeured transportation and transportation logistics company, recently promoted Sally A. Snead to Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.

Snead joined Carey in 1984 and has extensive expertise in all aspects of ground transportation management. During her tenure as vice president of Carey's meetings and event services division, she coordinated and managed some of the largest group transportation programs in travel industry history, including the 2005 evacuation of New Orleans during Hurricane Katrina.

Snead previously has served as vice president of information technology and general manager of Carey Los Angeles, and general manager and operations manager of Carey Washington, D.C., and most recently, as senior vice president of operations.

"This promotion marks yet another accomplishment in a storied 28-year career with Carey,” said Gary L. Kessler, President and CEO of Carey International, Inc., in a statement. “Much of our success is directly attributable to Sally's vision, creativity, and work ethic. Carey's reputation as the premier source of event related ground transportation management and logistics services in the chauffeured transportation industry is built upon Sally's leadership.”

In her new role as EVP/COO, Snead will oversee Carey's operations in the U.S., with the regional vice presidents of operations and the vice presidents and general managers of Carey International's family of operating subsidiary companies reporting to her office.
