EL SEGUNDO, Calif. — EmpireCLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services, the nation’s largest luxury chauffeured services provider, recently added Joel Stein as its West Coast Region Operations Manager.
Stein previously was a managing partner and director of operations at Econation, a Los Angeles-based all-green vehicle luxury chauffeured service that won a 2011 LCT Operator of the Year Award. Econation was bought by Los Angeles-based Avalon Transportation several months ago.
EmpireCLS has the largest luxury chauffeured fleet in the U.S. at 700-plus vehicles and is ranked No. 1 on the 2012 LCT 100 Largest Fleets List.
“We could not be more excited to bring someone like Joel on board,” said David Seelinger, chairman and CEO of EmpireCLS Worldwide Chauffeured Services, in a statement. “He has been a tremendous asset to the limousine industry for more than 23 years and brings a tremendous wealth of industry knowledge, experience, and enthusiasm along with him. Joel will undoubtedly enable us to continue to provide superlative service to our clients on the West Coast and globally as we continue to grow.”
Stein is charged with directing strategy, development, and execution of client satisfaction for the company. Specifically, he will manage the operations within the West Coast including Southern California and San Francisco as well as clients that travel nationally and internationally to any of the 700-plus cities served by EmpireCLS.
Stein will work out of the company’s El Segundo, Calif., West Coast regional headquarters, located just a few miles south of the Los Angeles International Airport.
Previously, Joel worked for Econation and Music Express. He started his career as a chauffeur and quickly worked his way up to a lead dispatcher position at Music Express. In 2008, Joel moved to Econation and played a vital role in the companies growth until he had to take medical leave due to a serious illness in 2012.
Joel Stein has been blessed not only with a lengthy career in the limousine industry, but also with a family that includes his wife, Mindy, of 23 years and son, Kristofer, who has followed in his father’s footsteps as a dispatcher for Avalon. He recently married in October.
“I can’t tell you how excited I am to join the ECLS Team,” Stein said in a statement. “They are the best in the industry and everyone here loves working for David and has a tremendous admiration for him because of his knowledge and experience, but most importantly because of his values and easygoing nature.”
