ORANGE, Calif. — Classique Limousine, headquartered in Orange, Calif., deployed Orange County's first 2013 Cadillac XTS livery sedan last week. The 12-vehicle operation received the Cadillac XTS from SoCal Penske Thursday, Sept. 27, and put it into operation the next day.

Kevin Illingworth, Classique’s president and CEO, who also serves as GCLA vice president, believes the XTS offers the design, amenities and capabilities that meet the needs of his corporate clientele.

After seeing the vehicle options at the 2012 International LCT Show, Illingworth tested out several cars, including the Hyundai Equus.

“When the new car options came out, I didn’t know the XTS would be the car I’d go with,” Illingworth said. “But the technology of the [XTS], the styling, and the comfort inside made it the best choice. It has the luxury image that we strive to represent. I think I’m going to replace all of my [Town Cars] with it.

“This thing looks awesome at night; lights accent the car all over, including the door handles. It’s definitely got curb appeal. We take pride in your ride, and the XTS is a great car.”

To promote their new Cadillac XTS, Classique wrote a blog post and blasted it via email. They immediately received three reservations for the new vehicle.

“The last three years have felt like limo limbo,” Illingworth said. “Now that I finally picked a new car, my clients are happy, I’m happy, and our brand feels refreshed. We strive to be the best. We want to stay in front of the public eye and give them new stuff, and I think the XTS does that.”

Illingworth did not disclose the final cost of his XTS, but said Penske offered him the same price as the MKT Town Car, of which he is not a big fan. As far as maintenance issues on the Cadillac, he’s not concerned: He purchased an extended 3-year /150,000-mile warranty and has a Cadillac dealer down the street from his operation.

“We’re going to switch these cars out every two years,” Illingworth said.

Classique Limousine runs the XTS at the same price as their Town Cars. They plan to add two more by the end of the year.
