Central Texas Company Gets Bigger With More Diverse Fleet

Posted on September 11, 2012

AUSTIN, Texas — R&R Limousine and Bus closed a deal Sept. 5 to acquire Longhorn Limousines of Austin, a move that increases R&R’s fleet by 13 vehicles, making R&R Limo one of the largest fleets in Central Texas.

The expansion brings R&R’s fleet of sedans, limousines, SUVs, minibuses, motorcoaches, and party buses to more than 83 vehicles. The additions include the new H2 Hummer stretch limos, Chrysler 300 stretch limo and fully loaded party buses. R&R also takes on 15 Longhorn employees in Austin, whose jobs will remain, bringing the total number of employees to more than 100.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed. R&R projects 2012 sales revenues of $8.5 million.

“I have always been impressed with the way Longhorn Limousine owner Ruben Pena has done business,” R&R owner Paul Arcediano told LCT. “He built his company single handedly and is a high caliber person. I really wanted someone with his expertise on our team to help us growth the company. Fortunately, he was willing to join us and we are very excited to have him on board.”

The purchase of Longhorn Limousines follows recent acquisitions of A-1 Limousine in both Austin and San Antonio during the past two years.

R&R Limousine & Bus has experienced tremendous growth since 2007. It has been preferred transportation company for Austin’s SXSW music, film and interactive festival, one of the largest festivals in the country for the past three years. In February, it received certification by the Defense Travel Management Office (DTMO) as an official carrier in their Military Bus Program, of which there are only 400 companies nationwide.

The company also has provided transportation for the Austin City Limits music festival and just this year relocated its facility in anticipation of meeting transportation needs created by Formula One and Circuit of the Americas. Most recently, it was a finalist in the 2012 Greater Chamber of Commerce business awards for outstanding customer service.

“Longhorn Limousines has a great reputation in the industry and we look forward to continuing excellent service and providing a seamless transition for both clients and employees,” said R&R owner, Paul Arcediano.

About R&R Limousine & Bus: Austin resident, Paul Arcediano started Rockin’ Ride in 2004. In 2007, he discovered an unmet need in the Austin market for a locally run, full service transportation company that values client relationships, safety and the experience of each and every passenger. He expanded the company’s focus to include a full line of vehicles creating a new division, R&R Limousine & Bus. R&R quickly secured large accounts in the corporate and hospitality markets as well as becoming the go-to company for large destination management coordinators and consultants in Austin. R&R handles growing demand for its service and now has a diverse fleet serving Central Texas.
