PEBBLE BEACH, Calif. — The German luxury automaker’s flagship sedan, the 2013 BMW 750Li, made its North American debut at the 2012 Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance.

The exterior isn’t much different from the 2012 BMW 750Li, but according to Autoblog, the interior features a handful of improvements.

The 4.4-liter V8 engine spits out an additional 45 horsepower and 30 pound-feet of torque thanks to the new Valvetronic system, bringing the large luxury sedan’s power to 445 horsepower and 480 pound-feet of torque. The sedan hits 60 mph in 4.7 seconds.

BMW has also improved the 750’s efficiency by around 25 % with a new eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2013 740i will have the same horsepower as the 2012 version, but will benefit from a 20% increase in fuel efficiency thanks to the new eight-speed gearbox.

A new ECO PRO powertrain management system will be available on both the 740i and 750i. This system includes a coast mode that allows the 7 Series to freewheel at speeds between 30 mph and 100 mph.
