Florida Company Buys New Buses For Big Conventions

Posted on July 18, 2012

CLEARWATER, Fla.  — Ambassador Limousine & Sedan, Inc. (ALS), a large chauffeured transportation company in the Tampa Bay region serving West Central Florida, recently added four luxury Volvo motorcoaches to its luxury fleet. Ambassador plans to heavily use the new buses Aug. 26-30, when it provides all ground transportation for the largest corporate sponsor at the Republican and Democratic National Conventions, happening Aug. 27-30 in Tampa, Fla., and Sept. 4-6 in Charlotte, N.C.

“We have always offered high-quality minibus and motor coach transportation,” said Ambassador Limousine CEO Ken Lucci, “But the new buses we’ve acquired exude a certain elegance and sophistication that we’ve been constantly searching for within the motorcoach industry."

The 2010 model year Volvo 9700 motorcoaches, built by Prevost, can seat 54 passengers each. The buses, which all have less than 200,000 miles, were bought from All Bus Exchange of Orlando, Fla. Volvo 9700 spec sheet here.

Ambassador owns and operates a diverse and dignified collection of ground transportation vehicles in the region. The company boasts the only Rolls-Royce fleet in West Florida livery service and also offers Cadillac luxury sedans, SUVs, and limousines, Mercedes Benz limo coaches, and various other minibuses and motorcoaches.

“The goal with our recent addition of the Volvos was to finally have the ability to offer limousine quality buses at standard bus company prices,” Lucci said. “And I believe we have accomplished that.”

Ambassador has earned numerous industry awards, including the Tampa Bay Business Journal’s 2011 Favorite Executive Car Company and the Clearwater Regional Chamber of Commerce’s 2011 Business of the Year for Economic Advancement Award.

ALS services corporate functions, weddings, hotels and airport travelers and is the official transportation of the New York Yankees, Philadelphia Phillies and Jabil Circuit.
