LOS ANGELES — Attendees at the Greater California Livery Association meeting last night, May 8, got a chance to look at and sit in the 2013 Cadillac XTS livery sedan. The sedan was the same pre-production model exhibited at the 2012 International LCT Show in Las Vegas on Feb. 14.

The XTS luxury sedan was brought to Los Angeles by Greg Maddock, fleet sales manager for Lockhart Cadillac, a top Cadillac livery vehicle dealer in the U.S. Maddock said the unique styling of the XTS as well as improved gas mileage are attractive features, as well as the vehicle technology, which includes the CUE entertainment system.

“The price point is also huge,” Maddock said. “After the new $3,000 rebate from Cadillac Professional Vehicles, and dealer discounts, operators could be looking at a price close to $42,500.” On Monday, May 7, Cadillac announced a $3,000 rebate as a fleet incentive on the 2013 Cadillac XTS W20 livery sedan.

With just the rebate, the XTS will be priced at $44,495, just slightly ahead of the competing 2013 Lincoln MKT Town Car, which has an entry level price of $43,200. The XTS will be less expensive than the Cadillac DTS, which ranged around $50,000.

Maddock said XTS W20 livery sedan goes into production in the first week of June. The sedan will be built in Canada, so dealerships should expect to receive them around the third or fourth weeks of June. The XTS VRU (limo chassis) and W30 (XTS-L, stretched 8 inches by coachbuilders) will go into production in November or December of this year.

Order banks are open for the XTS W20 Livery Sedan model. The XTS Livery Sedan is equipped with unique features designed for the livery market, including HID headlamps, 19-in. aluminum wheels, Magnetic Ride Control, rear air springs, rear vision camera, illuminating door handles, compact spare, transmission oil cooler, premium microfiber headliner, rear center console and the Professional Vehicle Protection Plan (PVPP) extended warranty (3-years/150,000-miles, whichever comes first). It runs on a front-wheel drive 3.6-liter V6 engine.

All information about the Cadillac XTS livery sedan will be available on June 1st at http://www.cadillac.com/professional-vehicles.html.
