Chrysler 300 Gets Vote Plurality In Web Poll

Posted on March 7, 2012

TORRANCE — Last month, vehicle vendors, led by Lincoln and Cadillac, converged on the MGM Grand's exhibit floor to flaunt their new industry offerings. Operators attending the 2012 International LCT Show saw the latest vehicles from seven manufacturers — Lincoln, Cadillac, Chrysler, Toyota, Mercedes-Benz, BMW, and Hyundai.

After the Show, LCT polled its readers to find out which vehicles made the deepest impression on operators. We asked, "If you had to replace your primary fleet vehicle now, which of the following 7 brands displayed at the 2012 ILCT Show would you choose?" Operators could only choose one answer from the list.

The non-scientific results are as follows:

  • 25.2% picked the Chrysler 300 Limited sedan
  • 20.4% picked the Lincoln MKT Town Car
  • 16.5% picked Hyundai
  • 13.6% picked BMW
  • 12.6% picked the Cadillac XTS
  • 7.8% picked Mercedes-Benz
  • 3.9% picked the Toyota Avalon

In a Twitter exchange, Bill Faeth of Grand Avenue Chauffeured Transportation in Nashville, Tenn. said he's considering the Chrysler 300 because of the purchase price and fuel efficiency.  The 300 livery edition is priced at $32,400 and achieves 19 mpg / city and 31 mpg / highway. The new model's redesign also features a sleeker, more European-styled front end.
