Dallas Operation Gives Back With School Haircuts For Charity

Posted on September 22, 2015

In 2012, Premier Transportation chauffeur Therion Ogilvie approached the company's owner and CEO Eric Devlin with an idea for back-to-school haircuts for kids in underprivileged areas. The idea now goes on three years as Premier Transportation has partnered with True Lee Missionary Baptist Church, Ogilvie's home parish, to take about 25 children in stretch limousines to get their hair cut before the first day of school. The haircuts are given by KC’s Jazz Barbershop in Desoto, Texas.

“They look their best and have a great story about riding in a limo to begin the school year,” Devlin says. “We are proud to be a part of our community, which is why we focus so much on giving back.”

Devlin adds he appreciates his caring and giving team and delights in the opportunity to give back to the community.

The annual back-to-school barbershop event supports disadvantaged students in the surrounding Dallas area. Ogilvie says the kids really enjoy the limo rides. “The kids are just so excited to see the limos, they all climb in and it’s great.”

Premier Transportation regularly donates to charity, and has sponsored many donation drives and community events in the past. “We are deeply ingrained in our community,” Devlin says. “Our main clients are here, and giving back is what makes us a success.”
