SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. — GPS Insight, a technology provider of GPS tracking services for commercial and government fleets, has been ranked No. 74 on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500.

The ranking includes the fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and clean technology companies in North America. GPS Insight had a four-year growth of 1,490% and was ranked the second fastest growing Arizona company in the Fast 500.

Robert Donat, founder and CEO of GPS Insight, attributed the company’s high growth to its “robust, highly adaptable product which delivers fleet insight to customers at a time when they need it most.” He added that the company’s unique technology makes it easy to deploy to customers and adapt, when necessary, to their costliest business challenges.

“This is a great time for GPS fleet tracking companies such as GPS Insight,” Donat said. “Since our end-customers save significantly when [using] a solution, it is a high growth time for our industry. We are thrilled to have made the Deloitte list at just under 1,500% four-year growth.”

GPS Insight, like all 2011 Technology Fast 500 companies, has excelled in fostering innovation and channeling it into spectacular growth “against the backdrop of one of the most challenging economies in history,” said Eric Openshaw, vice chairman and U.S. technology, media and telecommunications leader of Deloitte LLP. "Deloitte recognizes GPS Insight for its remarkable accomplishment.”

“We are pleased to honor GPS Insight as a 2011 Technology Fast 500 company,” said Mark Jensen, managing partner of technology and venture capital services for Deloitte & Touche. “As one of the fastest growing tech companies in North America, GPS Insight has demonstrated excellence in technological innovation, entrepreneurship and rapid growth.”

Overall, 2011 Technology Fast 500 companies achieved revenue growth ranging from 134% to 70,211% from 2006 to 2010, with a median growth of 354%.
