Six Industry Companies Rank On Entrepreneurial List

Posted on August 31, 2011

NEW YORK — The INC. 5000 LIST recognizes the true economic stimulators of the U.S. economy. This year, six companies from the chauffeured transportation industry landed on the list — a remarkable accomplishment considering how the Great Recession and the ensuing derelict economic leadership in Washington, D.C. have caused undue burdens for small to medium-sized businesses.

Inc. magazine reports that Inc. 5000 firms created 370,592 jobs in the last three years. Most economists agree that fast-growth start-ups create the bulk of the nation's new jobs, the magazine says.

The six companies, also ranked on the Logistics and Transportation sub-list, include the below in order with name, location, their three-year growth rate, and 2010 revenue figure:

NO. 922: Olympus Worldwide Chauffeured Services, Atlanta, 330%, $2.1 million

NO. 1328: Windy City Limousine and Bus, Chicago, 217%, $12.3 million

NO. 1914: BEST Transportation of St. Louis, St. Louis, 135%, $4.3 million

NO. 4147: Reston Limousine & Travel Service, Sterling, Va., 28%, $16.7 million

NO. 4239: Teddy's Transportation System, Norwalk, Conn., 25%, $5.7 million

NO. 4287: Fortis Riders, S.C., 24%, $4 million
