All Passengers Escape SUV Limo Fire

Posted on September 10, 2015

San Jose Police say the fire happened after the electrical system began to short out around 6 p.m. Wednesday. All passengers escaped unharmed. CHP says six or seven members of a band, identified by officers on the scene as Red Dragon Cartel, were in the back of the limo when the fire broke out.

For the local area, the fire harkened back to the tragedy in 2013 on the San Mateo Bridge, when five nurses were killed in a limo fire while on the way to a bridal party.
