TNCs Leave Broward County Today

Uber is leaving Broward County Friday morning, July 31st, at 7 a.m. Lyft plans to follow at 1 p.m. on Friday. The ride sharing companies are concerned with new rules in Broward County that would require all drivers to get fingerprint background checks. This advanced background check would also extend to limo and taxi drivers.

    It feels the fingerprint checks are burdensome and will reduce the pool of drivers applying to be an Uber driver which could increase wait times and reduce the rider experience....DUH Thats the purpose of the fingerprint background check....to ween out the unqualified drivers. And as far as your wait times and rider experience...a qualified professional that has passed this mandatory background check shouldn't have to worry about being late or offering exceptional service. But its obvious the big players just want 1000's of cars out their making them money no matter who's driving.
