Uber May Fight Labor Rulings Until No More Drivers Needed

A San Francisco-based driver for transportation network company Uber is an employee, according to a ruling revealed Wednesday by the California Labor Commission. But should Uber worry?

Uber is among the Silicon Valley firms pushing furthest into a self-driving car future. Uber CEO Travis Kalanick said last year that self-driving cars will one day replace all of its drivers.

Google has said that driverless cars could be available to consumers as early as 2020.
