Timeline Chronicles The Limos of the U.S. Presidents

Posted on May 4, 2015

L.A. Stretch Limos operates in London and Essex in England, UK, operating a wide range of vehicles, from stretch limos and sedans, to exotic Rolls Royce’s and Vintage Bentleys. Owner Carl Westwood is a bit of a limousine industry enthusiast, and also quite handy with web design. He created this interactive timeline of the evolution of the U.S. Presidential limousines, going all the way back to 1939, when the first specially built “Sunshine Special” made by Lincoln was put to use by the Secret Service for Franklin D. Roosevelt.

The timeline continues on through the 60s and 70s, with the Lincoln Continental showing prominence, before the 80s brought in Cadillacs, which have continued to evolve as presidential limos throughout the 90s and 2000s.

Take a look at the timeline below, and check out L.A. Stretch Limos at www.lastretchlimos.co.uk.
