Cadillac Announces Plug-In Hybrid CT6

Announced at the Shanghai Auto Show, the Cadillac luxury brand from General Motors said the vehicle will be sold in a number of markets, including China and the U.S., but gave no timetable. The gasoline-only model goes on sale in the U.S. in December. The PHEV comes later.

The car in any powertrain configuration is important to Cadillac and to GM, which got the luxury brand rolling with a massive new-model investments, only to see sales tumble last year as buyers switched to big SUVs.
