MARLTON, N.J. -- The National Limousine Association has hired experienced association manager Sarah Gazi as its new executive director, starting Monday, April 27.

Gazi, who brings 14 years of experience as an executive director and is certified by the American Society of Association Executives, has worked since 2006 as executive director at Association Headquarters Inc. in Mount Laurel, N.J., one of the largest association management firms in the U.S. She previously worked as business manager for the American Mosquito Control Association in North Brunswick, N.J. from 2001 to 2006.

Gazi succeeds Philip Jagiela who served in the NLA post from October 2012 to January 2015. Since January, deputy executive director Kyle Hammerschmidt has led an interim team managing the daily operations of the NLA. Ms. Gazi will receive direction and work closely with NLA President Gary Buffo, as well as liaise with LCT Publisher Sara Eastwood of Bobit Business Media, the parent company of LCT Magazine.

“I am extremely pleased with this appointment, and look forward to working with Ms. Gazi," Buffo said. "With a wealth of association governance knowledge and client experience that is synergistic to our industry, I have no doubt she will hit the ground running. The association is in great hands, and I look forward to a year filled with productive and successful initiatives and accomplishments for our membership.”

NLA, which has about 2,100 members, and BBM have a long-term association management contract that includes co-production of the International LCT Show in Las Vegas, Nev., and LCT-NLA Show East in Atlantic City, N.J . The NLA, based in Marlton, N.J., and LCT Magazine, based in Torrance, Calif., operate independently of one another.
