California Operators Close Out A Breakthrough Year
The Greater California Livery Association’s annual holiday event took on a more festive tone as the industry stands to benefit from measures that will ease business operations.
LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Florida has emerged as one of the most active front lines in the limousine industry's campaign against TNCs, prompting a concerted effort from trade associations representing operators throughout the state.
Those efforts were celebrated March 17 when the annual LCT Association Award of Excellence was given to the: Florida Limousine Association, the Greater Orlando Limousine Association, the South Florida Limousine Association and the West Florida Livery Association.
The award usually goes to one group, but given the Transportation Network Company challenges in Florida, LCT recognizes all four groups that have worked together in the struggle for regulatory fairness in a state that ranks among the most active for limousine service.
Appropriately enough, the awards ceremony played the signature 1982 hit from the heavy metal band Judas Priest, "You've Got Another Thing Comin'," as the association leaders ascended the awards stage. In the battle for regulatory justice in the state of Florida, these groups will make sure TNCs "got another thing comin'."
