NY Taxi Industry Groups Unite As Uber Beefs Up Operations

Uber, the dominant taxi app in New York City, is hiring, while the existing taxi industry's fractious members unite.

On Tuesday, Uber emailed its customers with the following news: "UBER NYC IS HIRING."

More precisely, Uber is looking to hire 10 people, including a tri-state marketing manager, an operations and logistics manager, a recruiter, and four software engineers.
