LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- As operators of all fleet sizes enter the charter and tour bus market, they face new challenges and obstacles, and many regulatory unknowns.

Veteran limousine-turned-bus operator experts will lead a series of bus clinics at the International LCT Show, March 17 and 18, designed to help further educate operators serving this market segment. The first panel will be held Tuesday March 17 at 9:30 a.m. on "How to Buy Your First Bus." Moderator Martin Romjue of LCT Magazine will guide panelists Michael Gay of Volvo Finance, Dan Goff of A. Goff Transportation in Charlottesville, Va., Mark Parsons of Chariots Of Hire in Louisville, Tenn., and Steve Zeigler of the Prevost Bus Shell Sales Division in this all-important session for those looking to expand into this lucrative market.

On Wednesday March 18, two clinics will be held on regulatory issues and advice on creating and marketing excursions. In “New Rules: Everything You Need to Know about Regulatory Framework for Buses” at 2:10 p.m., panelists will discuss what specific rules are most troublesome for limousine operators venturing into this niche, and advice on how to keep up with all of the details while trying to run a business. Panelists Tom Holden of Rose Chauffeured Transportation in Charlotte, N.C., and Gary Bauer of Bauer's Intelligent Transportation in San Franicisco will be led by Moderator Tom Halligan of LCT Magazine.

At 3:45 p.m., David Glazier of Fleet Transportation in Alexandria, Va., and Jim Luff of Limousine Scene in Bakersfield, Calif..,  and LCT Magazine will lead a session called Corporate Bus Excursions, which will offer inside ideas  on how to create, market and operate unique corporate excursions.
