Are TNC Drivers Employees Or Contractors?

SAN FRANCISCO -- A U.S. judge on Thursday said it was "very difficult" to decide whether drivers for smartphone-enabled car service Lyft are employees or independent contractors, but that California law appears to favor the drivers.

    if todays decisionhanded down by a federal judge in the port drivers dispute is any indicator they are employees, uber and lyft are screwed, and their drivers are as well being held liable for all applicable taxes
