FASTTRAK Moves Ahead In The Clouds

New online products allow operators to work on the go and minimize infrastructure costs by hosting operational data on Internet cloud servers.

PHOENIX – FASTTRAK Technologies, LLC, has released a new product for the global online livery market, called “GO Cloud” suites.

The suites have been in development for the past two years and are designed to allow ground transportation companies to be more flexible and mobile in their daily operations while minimizing ever-growing infrastructure costs.

During the past five years, companies have been taking advantage of excess Internet cloud server capacity by eliminating or minimizing their internal-server infrastructures and moving to the cloud. “This new direction created less and less ties to the physical environment and lets the organization work on the GO,” said Eddie McCoy, President and founder of FASTTRAK.

Traditionally, FASTTRAK has provided an on-premise solution to all-sized ground transportation businesses. “Our 12-year commitment to our customers has been to deliver functionally rich products that still embrace an ‘easy-to-use’ approach to the application interface. We have now succeeded in developing an online suite of products that meet those same goals while also providing the limousine/livery operation, resort-hotel or casino transportation departments with the ability to work from any place with our web edition and online enterprise product,” McCoy said.

FASTTRAK furnishes an upgrade migration path to all of its customers to move to this new online “GO Cloud” experience, and can now also provide enterprise-level products to all ground-travel companies using on-premise or other online products that are not providing enterprise functionality and service.

“The new GO Cloud products have been developed using the latest Microsoft .NET technologies and cloud computing solutions. Our goal is to create best-of-breed software with performance scalability, value, and user experience being the primary objectives,” said Erik Bensen, senior development officer.

The products are distributed in lite and enterprise-level platforms and serve small, mid-sized and large enterprise operations by individually hosting their operational data (not shared hosting), relieving the organization the cost of infrastructure, maintenance and replacement expenditures.
