The industry’s only executive leadership conference and retreat already has exceeded expectations across the board. That’s a positive sign for the industry overall.

CHICAGO — The 2010 LCT LEADERSHIP SUMMIT so far has attracted 180 industry operators, suppliers, and participants for its ninth annual conference to begin Tuesday at the FAIRMONT CHICAGO MILLENNIUM PARK HOTEL.

The event, capped at a maximum of 200 attendees, is the first such Summit in more than two years. Designed to generate new ideas, spot trends, and pick the brains of industry leaders for savvy business approaches, the Summit differs markedly from a trade show with its more connected environment ripe for intimate networking and solid business relationship building. Not to mention opportunities to relax and unwind in a luxury hotel setting.

Since the last Summit held in Miami Beach in June 2008, the chauffeured transportation industry has weathered a staggering recession that has contracted the industry by about 25-33%. Indeed, the high attendance figure for next week’s Summit is a leading industry indicator of at least a partial recovery in the fortunes of the chauffeured transportation industry.

The 2010 LCT LEADERSHIP SUMMIT also has drawn at least 10 sponsors, including several big industry names. One of the sponsors, FORD FLEET LIMOUSINE & LIVERY VEHICLES, will hold a much-anticipated Livery Vehicles Forum next Wednesday, Sept. 29 at 2 p.m. to address the future of Lincoln livery vehicles.

Schedules, events, speaker profiles, and registration information are available at the 2010 LCT LEADERSHIP SUMMIT Web Site.

Also, LCT is maintaining an updated list of SUMMIT ATTENDEES.
