The first-ever LCT Great Limo Race goes live today with a new blog that highlights the progress of five operator contestants.

TORRANCE, Calif. — LCT Magazine chose five small operators in January to compete in an 18-month informal “limo race” that tracks the progress of their five companies between now and July 2011.

LCT contributing editor and veteran operator Jim Luff is the shepherd of the whole contest, fielding updates and vetting the progress of the contestants. Luff will summarize their progress quarterly in the print editions of LCT Magazine.

The new LCT GREAT LIMO RACE BLOG enables contestants to send updates as events warrant and allows LCT readers to post comments and advice. The contestants will occasionally post responses and comments to take advantage of the online interaction.
