BIG SCORE: The LCT Operator of the Year finalist becomes the official ground transportation company for the Mets.
NEW YORK CITY — New York-based Partners Executive Transportation Worldwide Chauffeured Services, one of the city’s largest luxury limousine transportation providers, has been named the official ground transportation service provider of major league baseball’s NEW YORK METS.
The partnership with the Mets is the latest of many ties that the company has established in the world of sports-related chauffeured ground transportation.
“We are thrilled to be a part of the excitement that the Mets bring to the Big Apple,” says Sergio A. Sanchez, executive vice president of PARTNERS EXECUTIVE TRANSPORTATION.
As the official ground transportation service of the New York Mets, Partners Executive Transportation will not only be managing the transportation for players and team executives, they will be working with the team in developing special fan packages and developing other opportunities.
Sanchez estimated the annual contract at about $500,000. Partners will dedicate about 25 luxury sedans and SUVs from its 220-vehicle fleet to the Mets on game days to transport athletes, managers, and VIPs connected to the Mets. The exposure also gives Partners the opportunity to provide transportation for Mets corporate fans and sponsors who occupy skyboxes and choice seats at Citi Field.
“2010 is going to be a great season for the Mets/Partners Executive Team. We are working right now on a number of marketing tie-ins, sponsorship opportunities and building an exceptional program for the team, their fans, and New York City,” Sanchez said.
Partners Executive also looks forward to developing services on many different levels, including the expansion of their relationship with Citi Field, home of the New York Mets.
“Citi Field is not only a tremendous ball park, it is also a world-class event and hospitality destination and we look forward to working to help build more non-game day traffic with special corporate events and meetings,” Sanchez said.
As one of the more experienced sports team chauffeured ground transportation companies, “Take Me Out to the Ball Game” has always been one of the company’s favorite tunes, according to a Partners press release issued April 21. Let’s just say our new “major league” account is a “grand slam” for us, for sure, Sanchez added.
Partners Executive has a long history of providing luxury chauffeured service and innovative transportation arrangements for more than 1,000 corporate accounts, sports teams, and celebrities worldwide. It was one of three finalists in the 51-plus vehicles category in the 2010 LCT Operator Of The Year.
Partners gained a lot of experience in professional sports transportation when it was the exclusive provider for the New York Yankees from 2004 until early this year when the team shifted its contract to another transportation provider. Further information about the new Yankees transportation provider has not been officially released.
