Coastal Limousine Becomes Coastal Car Worldwide

The South Florida operator launches a state-of-the-art online reservation and notification system.

FT. LAUDERDALE, FL — Coastal Limousine, which has serviced the South Florida market for nearly four decades, recently changed its name to Coastal Car Worldwide. Coastal Car CEO Evan Michaels indicated that the new name better reflects the size and scope of the company and its diverse services.

"We have expanded our global networking servicing to more than 35 countries and 550 cities worldwide," Michaels said. "Clearly the new name is much more representative of what Coastal has become."

Michaels also said that concurrent with the announcement of the new corporate name, the company has launched an advanced online reservation system with sophisticated support technology.

"Through our new website at our clients should have the confidence to book all of their ground transportation needs for virtually every major city in the country," he said. "Not only do we offer state-of-the-art online reservations via our 'Web Res' system, but our revolutionary technology provides real time ride status notification, real-time close out, GDS integration and online reporting."

"Early returns from clients who are using the new software have been outstanding," Michaels added. "Our mission from the outset was to develop a comprehensive, fast, and above all, user friendly system. We're confident we've achieved our goals.

Aside from its technological advances Coastal Car Worldwide manages and maintains a 50-plus vehicle fleet, including executive sedans, SUVs, limousines, passenger vans, and deluxe mini-buses.

"Frankly, the ground transportation industry has lagged behind in adapting technological advances," Michaels emphasized. "At Coastal Car Worldwide we have assembled a staff of transportation experts and leading-edge software developers that should keep the Company at the forefront of the industry for years to come."

Coastal is also committed to environmental sustainability. As members of Green Ride Global, Coastal Car Worldwide has committed to GHG emissions reductions of 20% from all areas of the Company's business operations over the next five years.
