Operator Richard Kane sees the staff addition as another way of diversifying his client base and garnering more market share.

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Richard Kane, president and CEO of International Limousine Service, Inc., the largest privately held chauffeured transportation service in the nation's capital, said Wednesday the company has appointed Dick Nabors as its director of e-commerce and reservation distribution.

Nabors will lead the sale of services to travel agents, travel buyers, and the major travel portals using the GDS to connect to vendors, such as Orbitz, Travelocity and Expedia.

"We're confident that he'll play a crucial role in helping us to continually grow our client base," said Kane, also a former president and current board director of the National Limousine Association. "His in-depth knowledge and experience with many of the travel industry's sophisticated booking processes, combined with International Limousine's advanced software technology, will instantly give us the edge in the current economic climate."

Nabors brings more than 33 years of experience in the corporate, military, government, airline, leisure, travel and tour industries. Before joining International Limousine Service, he most recently was Director of Business Development for Travel-On, Ltd., and has also led business development and sales initiatives for American Express Business Travel, Tournet, Discovery Travel Systems, Carlson Wagonlit Travel, Datalex and Sato Travel.

International Limousine Service was founded in 1971 and later purchased by the E.I. Kane Company. In 1999, International Limousine became an independent entity and is now completely owned by Richard P. Kane. With eight fully trained travel coordinators located at the company's recently renovated 24-hour reservation center, International operates Washington, D.C.'s largest private fleet of limousines, sedans, SUVs and luxury mini-buses.
