UPDATE: NC Operators Appear Victorious On Sales Tax

Carrie Peele, secretary of the North Carolina Limousine Association, told members recently that State Sen. Daniel Clodfelter’s office has assured the association that there will not be a sales tax on limousine service brought before the state legislature.

The association waged a letter writing campaign among operators in the state to oppose the proposed tax. This is a major victory considering that other states such as New Jersey and New York already have instituted a sales tax on service.
