DENVER — Raoul Pietri took over Stage Coach Luxury Limousine in 1998 with one 13-year-old limousine, a cell phone and an advertisement in the phone book. Today, the business has a fancy 2007 Lincoln 10-passenger limousine, another limo that seats six, and two luxury 4x4 SUVs.

“It’s a fun business,” Pietri said. “I’ll be doing this ‘til the day I die.”

About 60% of his business involves runs to Denver International Airport. Weddings are popular in the summer, and locals occasionally use the services to visit Denver for concerts, parties and sporting events.

The rates have been reduced from 2006, Pietri said, with both the economy and gas prices down. A trip to the airport — for up to four people — is $300, plus champaign and cocktails.

The service is available 24 hours per day, seven days per week — rain, snow or shine.

Pietri said when people hear he owns a limo company, the two most frequent questions are whether the limos have hot tubs and whether he’s given rides to famous people.

The answer to both is no.
