DETROIT - John Hernandez has already done his part for the "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" build.

It was the Grand Limousine owner who donated his services and drove Arlene Nickless and her three boys to a hotel near Detroit Metro Airport on Friday.

On Sunday, though, Hernandez was back at the Nickless' home, waiting for crews to knock it down for the hit ABC show.

"A lot of people in the community are excited for the family," said Hernandez, who plans to return this week to volunteer and will drive the family to their new home on Friday. "I'm glad somebody locally was able to have this happen to them."

Hernandez said Arlene left Holt excited and overwhelmed. Her contact with people back in Holt will be limited as she and her three youngest sons vacation this week at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

"I just told her everything is going to be good," Hernandez said of the limo ride. " 'When you come back Friday, you'll forget about all the things you've been through and you'll start new.'

"She just relaxed and fell asleep."
