NEW YORK — Bill Gemmell, formerly the CEO of Ground Travel Technology (GT3), has joined Town Car International as its chief financial and chief operating officers, bringing to the company an extensive technical and administrative background.

Gemmell left GT3 last summer after leading a sale of the company. He also had worked for it as COO. Before GT3, Gemmell also was a managing director with BankBoston Capital where he oversaw finance, business systems, risk, compliance, fiduciary area and strategic planning, and a portfolio worth $250 million.

He previously was the CFO and executive vice president at BostonCoach where he managed financial, administrative, and internal business systems, and quality control operations in seven cities.

Town Car International has provided the North Eastern corridor with chauffeured licensed luxury ground transportation since 1986, and globally through an extensive owned and affiliated network.

The firm, led by CEO Russ Cooke, ranked seventh this year in LCT Magazine’s Top 100 Fleets list.
