Carey International announced today that Devin Murphy was appointed president of the company.

Prior to the apointment, Murphy was working as COO of the company. He will continue in that capacity in addition to the new apointment.

"I am pleased to announce Devin's promotion to president, he is well qualified to lead Carey?s operations team as president and COO" said Vincent Wolfington, Chairman and CEO. "Devin has served the company in several senior management positions and has played an integral part in our growth and success."

Murphy, 35, served as the COO and was responsible for all of Carey's U.S. subsidiaries as well as the company's licensee program, quality assurance, fleet, system standards, customer service, meetings and events, acquisition integration, and business standardization. According to Wolfington, Murphy was instrumental in reorganizing the company's operations through a new management structure and operating committee.

In addition to serving as president, Murphy was also appointed to Carey?s board of directors. "The addition of the COO as a member of the board brings a practical operations perspective to the deliberations of that body," Wolfington said.

Carey also appointed the company's executive vice president and CFO, Mitchell J. Lahr, to its board of directors.

"I am pleased to have Mitch join Carey's board of directors," Wolfington commented. "Mitch's extensive experience in financial matters as well as his knowledge of information systems and cash management will bring a practical financial perspective to the deliberations of the board."
