Operators from 16 different limousine companies from across the U.S. and Canada converged on Chicago for three days in October. Their purpose was to discuss the industry and establish benchmarks for success.

Spearheaded by LCT Senior Editor and industry consultant Tom Mazza, The Limousine Success Group held its first meeting on October 14 - 16. The overwhelming topic of discussion was the state of the industry after Sept. 11. Operators discussed strategies and ideas on how to continue to be successful in the current economy.

Members of the group were selected for their success in the industry, said the group?s chairman Robert Alexander of RMA Limousine service. "Why are we considered successful? Because we do over $1 million in sales a year."

The Limousine Success Group members operate more than 700 vehicles and represent more than $60 million in gross revenues.

The group was established to create benchmarks for the industry and challenge each member to operate their company more successfully.
